I have been fighting for nonhuman rights for over fifty years. All sentient beings should have the same rights as humans. Why do humans think they are superior to nonhumans? Nonhumans do not destroy anything, humans destroy everything!!!
Humans are the cause of all the problems on the planet.
It really irks me when people talk about the PACT act as “proof” that (some) animals are “protected”: illegalizing the torture of “pets” is not the same as protecting animals; as long as humans violently exploit “some” animals, such as cows and chickens, the more “worthy” animals, such as dogs and cats, will be treated with indifferent cruelty as well. And also, to address the “criticism” that vegans equate human and non-human animals: you don’t HAVE to equate them to diminish their suffering. It’s a ridiculous argument meant to focus on human “flaws” to distract from the ACTUAL animal victims.
