You do not have to be a genius to get the message through that China is No.1 in the world when it comes to lacking any legislation for the protection / welfare of animals – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_welfare_and_rights_in_China It may consider itself a civilised nation, but by hauling this reputation along, the reality is that it is anything but civilised.

There are currently NO NATIONWIDE LAWS IN CHINA THAT EXPLICITLY PROHIBIT THE MISTREATMENT OF ANIMALS.
