The Rip Off To End. Finally, Vet Prescription Fees To Be Capped At £21.

From Mark, We Brits, like pet owners all over the World; regards their ‘furry friends’ as an integral member of their family.

When that pet family member becomes sick, most decent people immediately get a vet involved to try and help resolve the issue. For us in the UK, this where it all starts to go wrong, and animal welfare then becomes secondary to the primary extortionate prices charged by veterinarians. Vets know that people would normally do anything to get their animal on the road to recovery; and quite often, they pay a vet what is financially requested. Vet bills usually do not give much of a breakdown as to what costs this, what costs that, and so on.

This is just my experiences of always caring for animals that i have owned throughout my life. But given the 900+ comments in the BBC link below, I don’t think I stand alone. Take time to read owners comments, including prices they were charged.

As far as I am concerned, a case of better late than never. But, this price capping should have been introduced decades ago !! – Regards Mark.
