The nations which make up the United Kingdom has very many citizens who care deeply for animals. As sentient beings, they are capable of showing fear, pain, pleasure and joy. It is our collective responsibility to provide them with the best in whatever ways we can. 85% of British adults agree that we have a moral duty to protect animals and their welfare.
Here is the new animal welfare strategy by the English Government published in December 2025.
It is just me, but this is the first recording I play every January 1st.
I would like to send everyone and their loved ones very best wishes for the New Year 2026. Something tells me that 2026 is going to be a positive year for the AR movement. I promise you I intend to play a very small part in that. Regards Mark.
By Mark – The hunting down and killing of British wildlife in the name of ‘sport’ has led to a huge conflict killing of between us, the ‘Antis’, such as sabs; and ‘Pro Kill’ hunt campaigners on the other side of the fence, for decades.
But for our WAV visitor friends from overseas who may be shouting here re the resultant killing of dogs in the following article, I need to say that there is a deeper side on dog killing by hunts than what even the average Brit knows.
By using reliable information data supported by the links provided here, I also hope to provide you with further insight that ‘lifts the lid’ on the issue. To some, the Boxing Day showcase all looks very ‘happy England’ does it not. Boxing Day, 26/12, sees the local hunt parade through local villages with their animals.
Hunting dogs, by their very nature, are dogs bred to chase, catch, and rip to shreds British wildlife. It is not the hunting dogs fault; it is the way they are raised which makes them mature hunter / killers. Hence most normal pet owners would not ever consider adopting an ex hunting dog. Not if you want more placid animals that you own, including cats, placid dogs and rabbits to carry on surviving.

According to us, It is estimated that at least somewhere around 6,000 yo 8,000 hunting doge are slaughtered every year because they do not show enough blood lust, the basic want to kill, or they other problems such as being deaf. Nationally the numbers could be greater, another area of conflict between antis and prohunt supporters.
I was going to deal here also with a section on the Galgos, or Spanish hunting dogs, as they suffer immensely. I will now cover this in a new, separate post.
Regards to you all, wherever in the World you are from. I hope you agree that we are getting some positive UK news today, so this is being concentrated on – Mark.
‘Golda’ protests at Dover against live animal exports – we won !
Mark – About time; the hunts have been using ‘Draghunting’ as a cover for continuing to hunt REAL British Wildlife ever since the UK Hunting Act Ban came into effect in 2004.
The hunts were then given a ‘no kill’ alternative to murdering real animals, They ignored or continued to abuse it. So this is now the new result, December 2025.
Household pets, livestock and road traffic all suffer as a result of ineffective monitoring.
