Petition Letter:

We implore you Mr. Lu Shaye – Ambassador of China to France

To use your power so that the Chinese state takes immediate measures to protect the animals in this said territory! We demand the implementation of a law against acts of animal cruelty! The arrest and punishment of these individuals who commit these acts of extreme cruelty! Because of your status, you are able to influence these decisions.

Be aware that many people are outraged that such acts can continue. Do you want the country you represent to be known as a hell of a place for animals?

Due to the inertia of the Chinese government, an extremely dangerous and disturbing online community has spread. Its members inflict horrific acts on cats: Put in blenders as well as microwaves or ovens, slowly grill on the fire, cut parts of the body, soaked in chemicals to let them dissolve alive, remove skin, scratch and gouge out eyes, crushed with hammers, submerged in boiling water, hung by the neck and ears, perforated with iron bars, teeth and nails torn out.

The latter, we will never cease to recall, are living beings acquired from a sentience just like you, and experiencing a physical pain, in no way less than we could feel. Their torture session is filmed, and broadcast online on global platforms, such as Telegram or Twitter, so these extremely dangerous individuals can lead young minds down the path of evil. The future of our humanity is very worrisome if we do nothing.

We remind you of Gandhi’s words, “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way animals are treated in it”, therefore China is at the lowest level of civilization. This is an ethical issue in which the true character of our souls will be revealed.

We, the undersigned, call on Ambassador Lu Shaye of China and all relevant authorities to take severe measures to put an end to this network of torture as a matter of urgency.
