The vocabulary of the slaughterhouse society🐷

Germany

On the 4th of March in Wettringen, North Germany, a pig transporter caught fire. Half of the animals died or had to be killed, according to the police.

According to the police of the district of Steinfurt, the livestock transporter with 112 pigs caught fire on this Monday at 11.50 am on the B70. When the driver noticed the smoke on the tractor, he stopped the van.

However, the animals could only be partially released from the trailer of the truck:

64 of them died at the scene of the accident.

Four of them had to be shot by local policemen as their injuries were so severe.

Other animals were euthanized by employees of the district veterinary office.

The surviving pigs were taken to the slaughterhouse – the original destination of the trip (!!!)

My comment: If we had a fair press, the message should be written as follows:

In Münsterland Wettringen burned a pig transporter. Half of the animals are burned painfully or had to be shot because of their heavy burns.
The creatures that survived the accident were taken to a nearby slaughterhouse to die just as painfully as their conspecifics recently died painfully at the time of the fire!

Anyone who reads this message should be aware that the torture of animals in transports, farms and slaughterhouses is the result of the boundless indifference of a slaughterhouse society that cares about the suffering of other beings for a shit.

The sad life of Tsavo in isolation

Nashorn-Tsavo Circus-Krone--

On March 5, the 44-year-old rhinoceros Tsavo died in Circus “Krone” in Munich, Germany. He suffered from digestive problems for a long time and had lost 300 kilos in two months. The white rhino was the last of its kind to be displayed in a German travel circus. For the past forty years it has been kept under miserable conditions for entertainment.

Tsavo was condemned to a life of loneliness for economic reasons. As so often in the circus industry, he had to entertain the audience almost to the last breath in the ring.

Tsavo – Stations of a passion

Tsavo was probably born in the late 1970s in a South African national park in freedom, before he came in 1978 as a tomboy to Germany.
Since 2008, the rhinoceros bull was at Circus Krone, Germany, previously he was put on show for decades in the Circus “Barum”, also Germany.
Although rhinos are loners in nature, they also have contact with conspecifics, at least during the mating season. However, for decades Tsavo was kept in complete isolation and deprived of all social contacts – he died lonely.

-Circus-Krone-Tsavo

The animal welfare organization “Four Paws” has no words of comfort for the Circus “Krone” left after the death of the rhinoceros bull Tsavo, on the contrary!

Despite the massive weight loss, the rhino has been on tour with the Circus until recently, according to a statement.

Tsavo mit Dompteurpg

“Tsavo was gawped and applauded, standing on bare concrete for days, carting from town to town in a small wagon, even though he was always surrounded by humans, he died alone, because he did not know any fellows,” says Thomas Pietsch of “four paws”Organisation.

The association renews in the statement the demand to the Federal Government after a keeping-ban of wild animals: Proper attitude is not possible in a driving enterprise. A modern and contemporary circus must be able to do without animals.

The veterinary specialist for zoo and wildlife, Lendl, is nevertheless convinced: “There was certainly some disease under it that we could not find.” She suspects a “mechanical obstacle” such as a tumor or intestinal entanglement. To find the exact cause of death, the carcass is now being autopsied in animal pathology – which may take weeks due to size.

For those affected by Circus “Krone”, Tsavo’s death is like that of a family member (!!!), Lendl said. It may be a comfort to them that Tsavo has been stable and painless in the past few days!!!

In its already third Resolution, the Federal Council called for a ban on circus wildlife, which the Federal Government has not yet met. In 27 European countries, including for example Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands and Greece, certain or all species are no longer allowed in the circus, while in Germany species such as giraffes, primates and even hippos in circus operations are subjected to constant stress on trucks. According to a representative forsa survey conducted in May 2014, 82 percent of Germans believe that wildlife can not be kept in a species-appropriate manner in the circus. The Federal Chamber of Veterinary Medicine is also in favor of a ban.

https://wildbeimwild.com/2019/03/05/trauriges-leben-in-isolation/

My comment: Apart from many countries in Europe, Bolivia, China, Costa Rica Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Israel, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Singapore (so-called “third world countries”) have already banned the carrying of certain species of wild animals in circuses.
Germany continues to lag behind.

Because circus companies repeatedly violate the Animal Welfare Act, many cities and towns are trying to limit the performance of circuses in their catchment area.
Although the Federal Council already voted in favor of a wildlife ban in 2003 and 2011, the Federal Government has failed to introduce such a ban for years.

The incompetent politicians simply let the circus animals down.

krone-elefant-kopfstand

And until the German politicians stop protect the tormentors businessmen of the circus,  the elephant will  be tortured to make his ridiculous headstand, the bear will further roll out of fear of the whip on the ball, and the lion will jump through the burning tires, under the threat of the electric shock.
And so they are transported from one place to another until they are dead.

EU: Have the Lobbyists for Bayer-Monsanto Convinced the EU to Ignore the Concerns of the EU Citizen ???

Breaking 8/3/19

Inside sources have told that the EU is planning to re-approve the toxic pesticide thiacloprid under pressure from its maker, Bayer-Monsanto.

Lobbyist 1

Plantation spraying

Thiacloprid is a neonicotinoid pesticide — just like the ones that the EU banned from outdoor use last year, after hundreds of thousands of people in the EU voiced their concern over the dangers those chemicals pose to bees.

Thiacloprid’s current licence expires at the end of April, and the EU still hasn’t announced its re-approval to the public.

We will produce more news on this as we get correct info.

Regards Mark.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights.

After the Socialist Party of America organized a Women’s Day on February 28, 1909, in New York, the 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference suggested a Women’s Day be held annually. After women gained suffrage in Soviet Russia in 1917, March 8 became a national holiday there. The day was then predominantly celebrated by the socialist movement and communist countries until it was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations.

Today, International Women’s Day is a public holiday in some countries and largely ignored elsewhere.  In some places, it is a day of protest; in others, it is a day that celebrates womanhood.

Tell Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell to get deforestation out of their restaurants!

pizza hut

Magnificent rainforests in Asia and South America are being slashed and set ablaze to produce palm oil, soy, beef and paper — driving out the precious orangutans, pygmy elephants, and other endangered animals who call those trees home.

But fast food giants Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell have failed to take meaningful action against this environmental catastrophe.

Sign the petition to tell Pizza Hut and KFC to stop deforestation in their supply chains!

The restaurants are all owned by megacorporation Yum! Brands — and with zero transparency and limited accountability, there’s no way of knowing how many forests were destroyed to make your Pizza Hut meal.

We’re crashing Yum! Brands’ Annual General Meeting of shareholders with a resolution to get the fast food giant to be more transparent on the deforestation it might be causing. By signing this petition, you’ll help pile even more pressure on the corporation — and prove that this is an issue that the public and their customers across the world feel strongly about.

kfc

Your signature on a huge SumOfUs petition could tip the balance, and encourage enough shareholders to vote for our proposal, and change Yum’s behaviour for good!

You and I could force the industry laggards to get with the times, so Pizza Hut and KFC can’t keep looking the other way as forests are destroyed for cheap palm oil and soy.

petition keyboard

Tell Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell to step up their anti-deforestation game.

In its official sustainability policy, Yum! Brands bragged that by 2017, 100 percent of its palm oil would be sustainably sourced. Did that happen? Nope. Has it happened by now? Nobody knows.

Unlike most other leading brands, Pizza Hut and KFC’s mother company hasn’t made the names of its palm oil suppliers available to the public. The same goes for the timber used in its paper packaging, which Yum! claims will be sustainably sourced by 2020. And what about beef and soybeans, two other huge sources of deforestation and contributors to climate change? The fast food giant isn’t even bothering to set goals for those right now.

We need to push the corporations to do better, before it’s too late for the rainforests and everyone who depends on them.

petition keyboard

Tell Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell to get deforestation out of their restaurants!

SumOfUs members like you have already helped save countless hectares of rainforests from destruction in the past year. Thousands of you pushed chocolate maker Lindt to catch up to the rest of the industry and publish an anti-deforestation action plan for its cocoa. And you got the RSPO, the world’s largest palm oil sustainability authority, to sanction palm oil villain Indofood over its multiple environmental and labour abuses.

taco-bell-fast-food.png

Together, we can show Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell that deforestation is just as bad for business as it is for endangered species, local communities, and the climate. But we’re going to have to make a lot of noise for the multi-billion-dollar corporation to start listening seriously.

If thousands of you show Yum! Brands you’re paying attention now, next month’s shareholder proposal will have a massive impact.

Tell Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell to commit to anti-deforestation throughout their palm oil, beef, soy, and paper supply chains!

Poachers in Kenya Will Now Face the Death Penalty.

Poachers in Kenya Will Now Face the Death Penalty

Posted by Carly Day | March 5, 2019

elephants-and-Larry-death

Kenya continues to progress towards a death penalty for poachers, with recent reports stating officials have confirmed a law change is on the table.

Najib Balala, a cabinet secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, first announced the plan in May 2018. Balala stated the current penalties are not strong enough to deter poachers.

Under the Wildlife Conservation Act enacted in 2013, wildlife poachers face a life sentence or a fine of up to $200,000.

However, the number of animals killed by poachers in the nation has been decreasing in the past few years.

“Kenya lost nine rhinos and 60 elephants to poachers in 2017, compared to 14 rhinos and 96 elephants lost in the previous year,” said Balala.

This decrease is attributed to increased commitment and security from those protecting the national parks, as well as harsher sentencing for those found guilty of wildlife crime.

Although many are praising these extreme methods, some disagree. They argue poachers are the “small fish” in the world of international animal trafficking and the focus should be on those at the top of the chain.

Others are concerned that killing the hunters — who are often from the local area — will only amplify the violence and fraught relationships between those protecting the animals and the surrounding communities. They suggest more should be done to deal with the socio-economic struggles that push people to seek money as poachers.

Although numbers are dropping, the death of even a single rhino or elephant is tragic. Animal populations still have a long way to go to fully recover from rampant poaching over the last few decades.

The slaughter of these precious animals for their horns and tusks must stop before they disappear from our planet forever.

Video – Brave Children Stop Adults From Slaughtering the Animals They Love.

In this emotional compilation, children desperately try to stop adults from slaughtering animals they love.

Some of the tearful kids shield or embrace the animals to protect them. One child scoops up a bird in his arms and walks away. A few brave children even take slaughtering knives away from adults about to kill a furry or feathered friend.

Some of the adults decide not to slaughter the animals, thanks to the brave children who spoke up against the cruel acts that were about to be committed. One adult asserts, “Kids are innocent and have intelligent minds. We actually shouldn’t kill [the animal].”

These intuitive children simply knew it’s wrong to kill innocent animals. Their compassion proves that sometimes, our youngest generation can be our most powerful voice.

PETITION TARGET: Cordoba Zoo

An elephant who spent 43 years in solitary confinement has passed away at the Cordoba Zoo in Spain. Flavia was taken from her herd at just three years old and forced to endure torturous isolation for the remainder of her life.

Being alone took a devastating toll on Flavia’s health. She became known as the “saddest elephant in the world.” She was plagued by depression in the years and months leading up to her death and her physical condition deteriorated.

During her final days, Flavia collapsed inside her enclosure and was unable to get up. After decades of suffering, she was put down.

Elephants are highly intelligent and social animals who live in family units in the wild. They do not belong in captivity and deserve to live — and die — in their natural environment, surrounded by other elephants.

It is imperative that the Cordoba Zoo does not replace Flavia with another elephant. Sign this petition urging the zoo to remain elephant-free, so no other elephants will have to suffer the same fate as Flavia at the Cordoba Zoo.

Petition Wording:

Addressed to: President Xi Jimping

The animals live confined in small cages, surrounded by their own faeces and urine. These places are true dog factories where they give birth until they die, while living a horrible life. The animals suffer a horrible life and end up with mental illnesses that cause them to be constantly turning in their small cages, hitting each other.

Dogs are poorly fed, almost never leave their cages and when they do it is only to be used to impregnate or leave pregnant females, and when they do not serve them anymore, they are killed or abandoned because they are no longer profitable.

Do not condemn dogs to a life of agony, suffering and pain. It is our duty to do something to be respected and their lives saved.

And remember that these places exist because there are people who buy pets, so ADOPT, DON’T SHOP!
