In India, a man was killed by his fighting cock.
The 45-year-old was holding the animal in his arms shortly before an illegal cockfight when the bird began to squirm, as the newspaper “India Today” reports.
The man had already tied blades to the claws of his rooster to make it more dangerous to the opposing bird.
But that was his own undoing: The rooster caught the man with the sharp, seven-centimeter-long blade in the groin area.
Gamecock’s owner bled to death on the way to the hospital!!
The incident occurred on February 22nd in the center of the country in Jagital (around 1,400 kilometers south of New Delhi).
According to the current status of the investigation, the rooster is said to have tried to tear itself away.
An approximately three-inch blade is tied to the cocks leg so that they fatally injure the enemy bird. The people around bet on the outcome of the fight.
While trying to break free, the rooster stabbed its owner in the groin with the blade.
Part of the main artery also runs there.
When his owner tried to recapture him, he was fatally wounded.
The 45-year-old started bleeding so badly that he couldn’t even make it to the hospital.
He died of massive blood loss on the way to the clinic.
The rooster, which apparently had no desire to fight with a conspecific, was caught and is now in police custody.
Not because it is to be tried, but because it is an important piece of evidence in the investigation into the death of its owner.
Hahn is now guarded by the police
According to the “New Indian Express”, the fighting cock stayed at the local police station for a day, then was taken to a nearby chicken farm.
An officer was posted to check that the feathered witness was being treated well.
The rooster is to be guarded until the procedure is completed.
The police are now investigating 15 suspects who are said to have organized or participated in the illegal cockfight.
They now face charges of negligent homicide, illegal betting, and illegal cockfighting.
Such events are actually forbidden in India.
In rural areas, however, it happens again and again that this is violated.
And I mean…Yes!! And that’s not a Hollywood invention, it is reality!
Usually, it is planned that the roosters die brutally and in rows during cockfights, this time a slave owner was caught.
A curious situation that happened there…
Many would speak of karma.
But actually, this is called an occupational risk.
Whatever- that brings us in a good mood!
My best regards to all, Venus
