Animal testing for the poison glyphosate

Tierversuche-Mauese-Ratten-USA

Animal testing for glyphosate

Scientists and authorities have been discussing the use of glyphosate and other pesticides for years. While some experts believe that glyphosate can cause cancer in humans, others rely on the opposite. So far, no satisfactory agreement has been reached. The new approval of glyphosate by the EU in 2017 has provoked strong calls for a revision of the regulatory process.

-18-glyphosat-tierversuche

The poison kills not only “weeds” but also other plants and is thus a major cause of the massive extinction of species, because the animals are deprived of their livelihood. The International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (IARC) Cancer Research Agency classified it as “probably carcinogenic to humans” in a March 2015 report.

However, the WHO / FAO Panel on Pesticide Residues (JMPR), on the basis of its own commissioned studies, found that the chemical would pose no threat to humans.

Animal testing for glyphosate

For decades countless animal tests have been conducted to determine the “safety” of glyphosate, in which thousands of rats, dogs, mice and rabbits were tortured and killed. Although glyphosate is extensively used in agricultural and consumer products, it seems more divided than ever before on its potential toxicity!!

Tierversuche-Mauese-Ratten-104-0418-c-PETA-USA

Unreliable animal experiments on cancer

Regulators rely mainly on an attempt to develop rodent cancer. The test requires hundreds of rats and / or mice to determine if a chemical causes cancer in humans. It is now well known that the test results vary in part and their validity for human health is therefore doubtful.

“In contrast, epidemiological studies point to a danger of the weed killer and in contrast to the animal experiment have a very high relevance in their validity,” said Dr. med. med. vet. Gaby Neumann, Research Associate of the Medical Association.

To determine whether glyphosate is carcinogenic in humans, international reviewers reviewed 14 separate cancer tests on rodents (8 rats and 6 mice), using more than 3,500 animals. None of these experiments gave the same results when repeated!

Animal experiments as a danger

When studies produce questionable results, there is an amazing trend – more animal testing is required! This not only causes further animal suffering but also leads to regulatory decisions that take years or even decades.

According to the chairman of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, more than 100 individual studies were carried out for only seven of the prescribed toxicity tests of glyphosate. At least 31,000 animals were killed for it.

Maus-im-labor-peg

Mice and rats were force-fed with chemicals and killed

For a single such cancer test on mice or rats, 400 animals are needed.

Begin as soon as the rat or mouse babies no longer have to be breastfed. Usually they are then forcibly fed with chemicals administered through a tube in the throat.
The substances often cause side effects, including long-term, painful tumor growth, but also nausea, tremors and convulsions. The animals receive a daily dose of these chemicals for up to two years. After that, they are killed and dissected.

tote Mausjpg

These experiments mean pain, suffering and death for every single animal. If the authorities and scientists really care about the protection of human health, they need to recognize how unreliable these tests are and instead rely on methods that are actually relevant to humans.

The data obtained from these laboratory tests can not reliably predict adverse health effects in humans. There are hardly any doubts: Animal testing poses a danger to humans. And the problem can not be solved by throwing even more money out of the window for completely irrelevant animal experiments!

The different assessments are partly due to different results from experiments on rats, according to which the agent was sometimes classified as carcinogenic and sometimes not.
Once again, in the case of glyphosate, results from animal experiments are worthless because they are extremely unreliable.

Meaningful alternative methods

Fortunately, a paradigm shift towards animal-free testing is already under way. Today, there are several technologies based on human cells, and computer models that can predict many negative health consequences, such asf or example: Skin and eye reactions.

Zellkulturplatte-002-c-Institute-for-In-Vitro-Sciences

The regulatory authorities rely instead on animal testing – tests whose results are not transferable to humans, and even pose a danger to him.

The case of glyphosate shows this clearly.

“Thus, toxicity tests must finally be based on animal-free research methods, such as human cell cultures, in order to achieve usable results,” concludes Dr. med. vet. Gaby Neumann.

01-26230-tierversuche_laborratte_

These new technologies, which are actually relevant to humans, bring us a long way towards eliminating unreliable animal experiments. This will make it possible to make reliable predictions about the safety of chemicals in the future, and protect human health accordingly!

My comment: For the manufacturers of this poison (Bayer / Monsanto) it is only marginally around this poison, which annually generates $ 10 billion in revenue worldwide. Much more important is the sale of genetically modified hybrid seeds, especially soy, maize and wheat, which is resistant to glyphosate. This is where the really big money is made and endless dependency is created. The annual turnover is estimated at 180 billion dollars. Glyphosate and its application products like RoundUp are just the means to an end!

More and more countries want or have already banned glyphosate.

A new study also confirms that people who are heavily exposed to glyphosate-containing pesticides have a 41% increased risk of developing a cancer called non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Angela Merkel’s (Chancellor of Germany) speech at the German Farmers’ Day in June 2017 contained a clear commitment to glyphosate: “What about glyphosate? I just want to reiterate the position of the government. The Commission has now made an extension. I know that this extension is not eternal. We will work to ensure that you continue to use this substance where it is needed. I want to say that again here. ”

Today, the biggest CRIMINALS AND MASS MURDERERS get golden needles on their jackets, a lot of money, and torment animals in the lab to convince some idiots that everything is for our good!

US: the cat -horror Lab of Maryland

USA-Flagge

A recent report from a US NGO (Non Government Organisation) suggests  that in a US state laboratory, cats are infected with the infectious disease toxoplasmosis for research purposes. For years they were given the meat of dogs and other cats.

In addition, laboratory mice have been injected with the tissue of sick cats.

Certain tests were quite bizarre and included feeding the cats the body parts of other animals – dogs and other cats – infected with toxoplasmosis, injecting mice with fluids harvested from dead animals, and so on. The body parts, those were for the food of the kittens, had been procured by the USDA at animal meat markets in China and Vietnam (!!!) according to the report.

Research on food safety

The shocking information on conditions at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, a US Department of Agriculture research center in the state of Maryland, has now been disclosed in a report by the White Coat Waste Project, which combats government-sponsored animal testing.

The report highlights the activities of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), specifically its research into toxoplasmosis, which has been going on since 1982 at the Animal Parasitic Disease Lab in Beltsville, Maryland. Toxoplasmosis is a parasite disease, believed to be affecting nearly half of humankind and many domestic animals.

It poses only health risks to those, whose immune system is weakened, and it usually evokes no noticeable symptoms.

Kittenjpg

The infected cats were then tested, parasitic eggs were harvested from their feces and the cats were killed two weeks lateras they had developed immunity. Although the animals were perfectly alright to adopt and the potential owners had not taken any health risks, thousands of healthy kittens were illegally euthanized.

Not all kittens become infected with the disease as a result. However, they are still killed instead of being rehomed. And so USDA has “disposed of” thousands of healthy kittens. “These healthy kittens –who briefly pass the parasite’s eggs and become immune within weeks– are then killed and incinerated by USDA because they are no longer useful,” the report states.

US Agrikultur Ministerium pgUS Department of Agriculture

“A total of 2,988 cats have been used in these research efforts that began in 1982,” USDA administrator Chavonda Jacobs-Young wrote in a response to an inquiry from Congress in May, according to the Washington Post.

The cats will then be euthanized and burned – as well as using them for tests in the first place- a practice that has often led to criticism in the past. “It is unnecessary and unjustifiable,” the watchdog stated. The scientific value of such tests has been very limited and even further diminished in the last two decades.

cat horror MarylandJPG

“Animal experiments conducted by the USDA are an example of ‘incredible’ hypocrisy, especially as the US Congress condemned cat and dog meat farms and markets.
The congress has banned them in the US to put pressure on other countries that had such markets, “said Justin Goodman, vice president of the White Coat Waste project.

“The US government has been sending people and money over to these countries and subsidizing these horrible cat and dog meat farms and markets, that Congress is so disgusted with, and virtually everyone in America wants to see ended.  So it’s incredibly ironic and hypocritical,” Goodman told RT. “And I think it is a testament to the incredible lack of accountability at the USDA. When on one hand you have the entire nation working to stop the practice that the USDA is helping to keep alive.

Tierversuche-Katzen-University-of-Wisconsin-012

Truth is that virtually any experiment on animals in the United States is legal as long as the right paperwork is filled out.”

While the USDA admitted that a “total of 2,988 cats have been used in these research efforts,” the animal rights group believes the death toll for felines is actually considerably higher. Last year, it sued the USDA, accusing it of withholding information on the cat-horror Maryland laboratory.

Watchdog group White Coat Waste Project wants the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), which runs the lab, to end the experiments and disclose all information about the harrowing tests.

My comment: Again someone was bribed from the pharmaceutical Mafia to conduct such experiments! And with the money of the US citizens! What was done there is against any normal ethics, absolutely unnecessary and disgusting.

Animal cruelty and corruption, nothing more.

I would give the people a lifelong professional ban.

Paris: Horror documentation from the lab

flagge francepng

The monkeys were used for experiments on the brain, for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. The video shows macaque monkeys in sterile cages, the irreverent handling of the staff with them and preparations for brain experiments.
The French organization “Animal Testing” took pictures with a hidden camera in the basement of a hospital in Paris. The suffering of the animals in animal experiments is immense.

The laboratories are massively scrapping and doing their utmost to ensure that the horror does not reach the public. Authentic images are extremely hard to come by and only possible through such undercover actions as shown here. Animal experiments are cruel and unnecessary!

Affe mit Eektroden im Kopfjpg

The monkeys live for years in cages of about one cubic meter.

They only come out for the experiments
They do not see daylight
They are made artificially ill and live with implants in their skullcap.
These pictures in the Video were filmed in the basement of a Paris hospital.

To develop Parkinson’s disease, monkeys are poisoned with the Nerve poisont MPTP.
Unable to feed themselves, they must be stuffed.
A researcher calls this “just about to die”.

They are kept in individual cages and poisoned.

A monkey is blind for unknown reasons.
He sits dejectedly in his cage, and is no longer used for research.
He spends his life in this cage without getting out.
The researcher believes that “this will end badly”

(Translation of the Video- dialogues between the laboratory technicians in the laboratory):

“The problem with the MPTP is that they can not eat anymore.
Therefore, you are forced to cram them.
If you look at them, they are about to die.
They are completely stretched down.

-Yes! this one has big problems
-Is that the one who sees nothing anymore?
-Yes exactly! This morning an ophthalmologist came..
-To take care of his eyesight?

-Well, yes .. not to treat him, but to determine what he has.
-But then he does not work anymore?
-No no.
-He does not do anything anymore?
-Yes, I think that will end badly.
-Yes?
-Yes, that’s for sure!”

Some monkeys refuse to participate in the experiments.
A researcher calls a monkey the last dirt

(laborant): “The females are really poison gnomes. These are already 11 years. And this is really the last thing.
He could easily do the job (!!!)
Only that he does not feel like it. It looks like he’s doing 4-5 tries, and the moment you say, “Let’s do it, you’re kidding us, we’ll stop,” and Hopp! He makes 3-4 attempts again, he stops again, starts again, stops again”…

Fixing chair

monkey-chair-24

The monkeys get used to them by denying them water and food.
This is the phase of mental breakup of the animal.
This may take a week or more, until the monkey accepts to put its head out of the chair and be fixated on the neck.

(laborant): ” Here .. I had a lot of problems with him, he was very unruly.
When you open that part of the chair, the animal voluntarily sticks its head out. The first time they do it, and then you close.
They have then focussed the head outside, and are not free in their movement.

monkey-on chair-05

The first time they are so fooled, after a few weeks you can not do it anymore, because they know what happens to them.
And it’s right when you break, it is just right to break the monkey!

monkeyLabL.JPG

Yet (a monkey) took a week to do that. He did not eat for a week.

( Laboratory assistant ):  -Its hard! And there is only this possibility ? …
-Yes! there are only these”!

This is how the daily life of monkeys in the Parisian laboratory is depicted.
The monkeys suffer in this lab for an average of 10 years!

Trepanation

Trepanation or craniotomy is a surgical procedure in which a circular hole is drilled in the skull to approach the brain. At all the monkeys you will see, a trepanation has been made.

rhesusaffe-tuebingen“At her, the implant was used shortly before the holidays.
This animal is still very young, so he just arrived. He has already been implanted.
There is also a little boy who has arrived recently.
This is one of mine, but unfortunately he has lost his impantation.
This one was on yesterday, so it is isolated.
Unfortunately, a craniotomy was performed on him, you can see that he has his fixation implant, it’s the one in front.”

MPI Affe 3

Experiments on eyesight

A monkey is moored in a fixation chair: hands, feet and neck are fixed.
He has to respond to signals on a screen in a box, and receives water as a reward.
The researchers observe his behavior on a screen.

But on that day, the 11-year-old monkey refuses to submit to the experiment.
He closes his eyes, the researchers laugh.
They say a “war of nerves” with the animal is waiting for them.

(laughter in labor)

-Do you notice that the monkey mocks you?
-Exactly! Because he does nothing?
-He gets that on the screen. That makes 27 attempts in 2400..that makes 20 minutes..ah … sorry .. it’s 40 minutes So 27 attempts in 40 minutes, he should normally have done in 340 minutes ..300 / 400 attempts.
And here you see that he just closes his eyes. He shows: “I’m annoying you”!
-Yes! now he starts to move to his chair and ..
-Yes! he gets nervous.
That’s the phase of the confrontation. Nothing happens anymore. A nervous was.
Exactly, it was a nerve, that’s it.
And then you have an 11 years old monkey. In my opinion, you are not bringing anything new to an old monkey”!!

This Parisian institute still carries out its experiments.

My comment: the witness call the organization “doctors against animal testing” is very innovative and an excellent idea. Hopefully, this idea will be followed by other organizations around the world.
We need civil courage. We all have to have that.
Especially in this area only courageous laboratory contributors can make this torture public when they report it.
Do not hesitate, have courage, contact the organization, report about the crimes of the psychopats!!

Hopelessness from the lab

zwei Labormäuserpg

Imagine that you would be thrown into deep water. You try to escape by climbing up the sides, but the walls of the container are just too slippery and steep. You swim wildly; You try to keep your heads above water at all costs so as not to drown. But you are terrified and have no strength left.

schwimmende Labormausjpg

At some point you give up and let yourself drift. You do not know if you will ever escape this horror.

What sounds like a nightmare is reality for thousands of mice, rats and other small animals – even today.

The so-called infamous “Forced Swim Test”, ( also known as the “Behavioral Test on Hopelessness”), is a widespread – but completely useless – animal experiment. As you can see in this video, experimenters place mice, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters or gerbils in a water-filled container from which they can not escape. The animals panic and try to climb out on the sides of the container. Some even dive and look further down for an exit. They paddle wildly to somehow keep their heads afloat. At some point, they are only driving.

This criminal idiocy is being conducted in university and pharmaceutical laboratories to test potential anti-depressants – even in Germany.

We do our utmost to stop animal experiments of any kind. Results from animal experiments can not be transferred to humans, because humans are not 70 kg rats. Already a small detail in the metabolism is enough to cause a completely different reaction to a certain substance.

maus in Laborjpg

Depression is a serious illness. However, the pointless attempt with mice and rats described above deprives people with depression of the possibility of true help.

Of the 47 pharmaceuticals identified by PETA USA, namely AbbVie, Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Eli Lilly, which have been tested in this way in animals, not a single one is currently approved for the treatment of depression in humans. And that, although this test has been done for decades!

Even those who use the forced swim test do not agree on what he really says about the traumatized animals.

Maybe animals that can be drifted earlier than others have not given up yet, but just want to save energy to somehow survive. The experimenters draw wrong conclusions about what could help people suffering from depression. Anyone who has ever had depression knows that the feeling of being drowning is very different from the sensations of depression.

First success – AbbVie stops forced swim test

Following a meeting with PETA USA, AbbVie has undertaken not to perform or finance the forced swim test.
The meeting followed PETA USA’s shareholder resolution, in which a total of four pharmaceutical companies were asked to end the cruel and pointless test.

AbbVie is the first pharmaceutical company to publicly and firmly oppose the near-drowning of animals.
Now it’s time for Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Eli Lilly to follow AbbVie’s lead and challenge the Forced Swim Test.

And now to Germany

In the EU, animal tests applied for since 2012 must be classified in degrees of severity. There is a choice: no restoration of vital functions, low, medium and heavy. The list submitted by the EU, which falls under severity level”, reads like a horror cabinet:

• Swim to exhaustion to simulate depression (“forced swim test”)
Electric shocks that the animal can not escape (“learned helplessness”)
Death from poisoning
Irradiation with fatal consequences
death from rejection of transplants
bone tumors, xenotransplantation etc …

Labor maus mit Tumor

EU bans, Germany does not!!

The EU bans these “heavy-grade” experiments, but allows exemptions to Member States. And that is exactly what Germany has done in the new version of the Animal Welfare Act: It has made use of pressure from the animal experiment lobby of the exception and allowed even the worst animal experiments.

Implement ban! NOW!

We want Germany to implement the EU’s prohibition on the severity of “heavy” animal testing and to ban these attempts by law. Legally, this is not only possible, but even necessary, because animal welfare is enshrined in the Basic Law and can restrict the freedom of research, which is also constitutionally guaranteed.

Text of the petition: “Rats have to swim to the point of exhaustion, mice are shocked with electric shock until they desperately give up and suffer the pain. Extremely cruel animal experiments such as the “forced swimming test” and experiments on “learned helplessness”, which are commonplace in depression research, are allowed in Germany, although the EU allows a legal ban on such trials with severity “heavy”.

With my signature, I call for a legal ban on animal testing with severity “heavy”!

My comment: The EU directive / 2010/63 is:
“From an ethical point of view, there should be an upper limit on pain, suffering and anxiety that can not be exceeded in scientific procedures, by prohibiting the use of procedures likely to cause prolonged and unreliable severe pain, distress or anxiety become.”

But it is still tortured in the whole of Europe (in Germany in particular), and experimented with the most brutal sadism against defenseless animals.

Animal experiments is the pure, naked fascism of the stronger one to the weaker.

And the results? Animals that are senselessly tortured to death, a bunch of criminal Nazis who disguise themselves as “researchers” and waste billions from our cash register for their career, and have never brought a result for the good of man.
But these criminal idiots continue to work, they continue to earn, the animals continue to die, and serious illnesses still torment us all.

My best regards to all, Venus

EU has to stop the laboratory criminals in Germany!

Germany

The EU has initiated infringement proceedings against Germany because the federal government has implemented requirements for animal experiments in a completely inadequate manner.
We very much welcome the fact that Brussels is finally getting active here.

However, the EU has failed to criticize a very serious mistake.

Germany allows animal experiments with the greatest suffering, although these are generally prohibited by EU regulations. Legal expert reports prove this violation of EU regulations.

Stella 2o

Do you remember the report about the illegal torture of the apes  in the Tübingen Hell Laboratory, in Germany?

This was also illegal animal experiments because the monkeys were no longer able to endure these torments and should be euthanized. What the experimenters did not do!

Affe in MPIcMax-Planck- Institut Tübingen. Foto: SOKO

Germany ignores the EU-imposed pain-suffering ceiling, from which an animal experiment may not or only under very strict conditions may be approved.

We, “the association of doctors against animal experiments” together with Tasso e.V. and the “Association Against Animal Abuse e.V”, call on the European Commission to ensure that the fundamental prohibition of animal experiments with heavy, long-lasting suffering is implemented in Germany.

This would be an important step towards the abolition of animal experiments. With your signature, you emphasize our demand that at least the EU minimum standard must be adhered to!

Affe mit Eektroden im KopfjpgMax-Planck-Institut, Tübingen. Foto: SOKO

For example, one of the most serious animal tests of this kind is the xenotransplantation in Munich, in which hearts of genetically modified pigs are transplanted to baboons. Most monkeys survive only a few hours, days or weeks. Being trapped in isolation cages, they suffer anxiety, pain, breathlessness, a monstrous swelling of the heart, heart attacks, liver damage, fluid retention in the lungs and chest, thrombosis, etc. until they painfully die.

My comment: The suffering of the animals in Labors gives us humans no progress. Animal testing must be abolished because it is ethically unacceptable and hinders medical progress.
There is neither torture nor sadism that laboratory animal experimenters have not yet practiced. Most remain unconfirmed until one unveils that (see SOKO undercover investigation )

These illegal attempts on monkeys in Tübingen, for example, have proven that the Labor Mafia knows no bounds when it comes to profit, power and career.

Animals using as a torture objects without borders, is criminal and must be abolished. Germany should learn it too!

Australia: Moves To End Reliance On Cosmetic Animal Testing.

australia

Aus com ban

Dear Mark,

There’s been a major breakthrough in our #BeCrueltyFree campaign in Australia, with lawmakers passing a measure that will save rabbits, mice and other animals from cruelty for cosmetics. This change to the law means that companies will no longer be able to profit from the use of new animal test data for cosmetic ingredients, putting a stop to this cruel and outdated practice in Australia.

Thanks to your support and compassion, our campaigners were able to work tirelessly for the past seven years to help get this lifesaving legislation passed. They negotiated with the highest levels of the health ministry to secure commitments which will ensure that all cosmetic ingredients are captured by the ban and to secure funding to support the development and adoption of modern non-animal test methods.

These essential commitments will ensure the implementation of a robust ban on cruel cosmetics in Australia!

HSI and our partners have played a leading role in many of the nearly 40 national bans enacted to date, and in driving similar measures in active political discussion in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, the United States and the ASEAN region of south-east Asia.

This history-making campaign would not be possible without the support of animal lovers like you who work with us toward a world without animal testing. Please take time to celebrate this shared victory!

Thank you so much for all that you do for animals.

Ricky Gervais And Vegan Peter Egan Back Campaign To Free Dogs From ‘Cruel And Unnecessary’ Experiments

The one-year-old dogs, which are in a lab in a major university in Gothenburg, are due to be killed at the end of the month – despite campaigners calling for them to be freed from brutal experiments.

Ricky Gervias and Peter Egan

British animal advocates – Ricky and Peter.

Comedian Ricky Gervais and vegan actor and advocate Peter Egan have backed a campaign calling for six dogs in a university lab to be freed.

The one-year-old animals, at a major university in Gothenburg, are due to be killed at the end of the month. They are part of an experiment to test how dental implants cause inflammation and bone degradation. In less than two weeks, researchers plan to slaughter the dogs so that studies can be carried out on their tissues and blood.

Swedish animal rights organization, Djurrättsalliansen (Animal rights Alliance) has been pleading with Gothenberg University to free Venus, Milia, Mimosa, Luna, Lotus and Zuri, handing over a petition which has garnered more than 80,000 signatures. Now Animal Justice Project has joined forces with Djurrättsalliansen to continue to raise awareness.

Dental experiments

Dental research on dogs at Gothenburg University has been going on since at least 2009 – with the animals suffering intensely. Before the test is complete, the Labradors will have been anesthetized six times, and had 35 percent of their teeth pulled out.

An ex-veterinarian from the university, Dr. Mark Collins, points out that there are other ways to study human dental implants and that dogs and humans have vastly different teeth. “These dogs know exactly what to expect when they enter the surgery room, and they are afraid,” he added.

‘Do the right thing’

“The fate of these six dogs literally hangs in the balance – I urge Gothenburg University to do the right thing by ending  the study and re-homing these dogs to the loving families they deserve,” Peter Egan said.

“We’ve banned cosmetics testing on animals in Europe, and yet dogs continue to be used in cruel and unnecessary experiments .. this time for our gums. This is no way to treat man’s best friend.”

Futile experiments

Daniel Rolke, Founder of Animal Rights Alliance, said: “The campaign to end these cruel and completely futile experiments has been huge here in Sweden but we are running out of time. The dogs will be killed in two weeks.”

Claire Palmer, Founder of Animal Justice Project, added: “Around 26,000 international students attend universities in Sweden –  many will be studying at Gothenburg University, and we are certain that they will be shocked to learn that Labradors – voted Britain’s most loved dog last year are being treated so abhorrently before being killed inside the university walls. No animals should be suffering painful and unnecessary experiments inside universities.”

Dr. Andre Menache, Science Advisor for both organizations, said: “These dog experiments are not only very cruel but scientifically meaningless for human patients. I challenge these researchers to defend their research in a public debate.”

Despite the petition and protests, Gothenburg University has stated the experiments will continue and has declined to be interviewed in Swedish media.

PETITION TARGET: Greg Clark, British Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy

Image result for greg clark mp

In a devastating move for animals, British Secretary of State Greg Clark has approved the application of a new puppy and ferret farm that could sell more than a thousand animals a year to be sliced open, infected with disease or slowly poisoned to death at cruel medical labs.

Lobbyist 1

If the plan continues, notorious lab animal breeder B&K Universal — a division of global company Marshall Farms — will open a facility in East Yorkshire, England that would house hundreds of beagles and ferrets at a time.

B&K’s application has been rejected twice already due to activist outcry.

We must keep speaking out to stop this cruel breeding facility from ever being built.

Along with the gruesome physical wounds, dogs used for vivisection — usually beagles — endure intense isolation, kept in tiny, barren metal cages with no social interaction. They become depressed or literally go crazy from both the abuse and the loneliness. When the dogs are no longer “useful,” they are killed and tossed like trash.

Instead of sending more dogs to their death, the UK government must seek effective, cruelty free alternatives to animal testing.

Sign this petition urging Secretary of State Greg Clark to immediately reverse his decision and stop all plans for this cruel farm to move forward.
