The 134 activists come from England, Belgium, France, Italy and Switzerland and start on 21.11.2018 their ninth hour of blocking at the Bell slaughterhouse (Switzerland).
Despite the terrible and delirious repression of antispeciesists activists practising direct action, they have chosen to continue along this path.
We should all show them our support and above all show, as they do, solidarity with the oppressed who resist alone in these places.
By intervening between the knives and the victims, these 134 antispeciesists activists practice a new form of “defense for others” and break this speciesist dividing line between bodies worthy of defense and those who, disarmed or made abusable indefinitely, are left defenseless.
They have shut down one of Switzerland’s largest slaughterhouses and bent the speciesist industry. No individual will lose his/her life in this place today, no one will be pushed into this terrible “death row” stained with the fear and blood of the victims.
Have we experienced so many of those moments when the balance of power reverses to neglect them when they occur?
The real radicality is taking action.

Our undercover operative who worked for 8 months inside the Haifa slaughterhouse speaks for the first time exactly one year after the broadcasting of the investigation.
Special thanks to the ‘Animals’ association which concurrently conducted their own undercover investigation inside the same slaughterhouse. President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and others who oppose action to address human-induced climate change should be held accountable for climate crimes against humanity. They are the authors and agents of systematic policies that deny basic human rights to their own citizens and people around the world, including the rights to life, health, and property. These politicians have blood on their hands, and the death toll continues to rise.
As the Earth warms due to the continued burning of coal, oil, and gas, climate-related disasters that include high-intensity hurricanes, floods, droughts, extreme precipitation, forest fires, and heat waves, pose rising dangers to life and property. Hurricanes become more destructive as warmer ocean waters feed more energy to the storms. Warmer air also carries more moisture for devastating rainfalls, while rising sea levels lead to more flooding.
Yet Trump and his minions are the loyal servants of the fossil-fuel industry, which fill Republican party campaign coffers. Trump has also stalled the fight against climate change by pulling out of the Paris Agreement. The politicians thereby deprive the people of their lives and property out of profound cynicism, greed, and willful scientific ignorance.
A group of world-leading ecologists recently highlighted that critical Earth systems could spiral out of control. The Nobel-prize winning Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change has also just released a harrowing report showing that the world has just a few years left to move decisively towards renewable energy if it hopes to achieve the globally agreed target to limit warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial average temperature of the planet.
The huge bills for Hurricanes Florence and Michael will now start rolling in: funerals, suffering, sorting through debris, and perhaps $30 billion in losses that could have been reduced dramatically through science-based planning and foresight.
The American people are paying a heavy cost for the cynicism and cruelty of politicians in the pocket of the fossil-fuel industry. It is time to hold these reckless politicians to account.
South Korean authorities have announced they have shut down the Taepyeong-dong complex, the country’s largest dog slaughterhouse, following pressure from animal rights activists to end South Korea’s custom of eating dog meat.
In a press release, Human Society International (HSI) announced the city council of Seongnam, where Taepyeong is located, intended to build a community park where the slaughterhouse once stood, „creating a fun public space where once hundreds of thousands of dogs a year were gathered from the country’s thousands of dog meat farms to be killed by electrocution.“
Caging animals is cruel: animals are sentient beings, capable of feeling pain and joy. Caged animals endure immense suffering because they have no control over their lives, experience extreme frustration, are severely restricted in their movement, and are prevented from performing almost all natural behaviours.
Hundreds of millions of farm animals across the EU are forced to live their entire lives imprisoned in tiny, barren cages. This extreme confinement is routinely inflicted on many different species. Sows are forced to nurse their piglets in crates, rabbits and quail endure their whole lives in barren cages, and ducks and geese are caged for force feeding to produce foie gras.

Three employees of the Max Planck Institute in Tübingen are facing trial on January 7, 2019 for alleged animal abuse to monkeys. They should have euthanized the animals instead of continue to experiment on them.
The story
At the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, brain research was conducted with monkeys.
Animal rights activists from SOKO Organization had filmed with a hidden camera in the lab – for example, a blood-smeared monkey – and filed charges against employees. Meanwhile, the experiments with monkeys were terminated at the Institute – according to the responsible researcher Nikos Logothetis, because he had no support from his colleagues.
Accordingly, the prelude to the trial is scheduled for 7 January 2019. The prosecution accuses the scientists that they have not euthanized several monkeys, although they knew that the experimental animals suffer unnecessarily longer. Among the defendants is the director of the Tübingen Institute, Professor Nikos Logothetis. The scientists had received penalties for this. Because they did not accept it, it comes from January 7 to the process.

The accusations against the internationally renowned researcher Logothetis have worried among scientists worldwide. The Max Planck Society in Munich had withdrawn the monkey experiments from Logothetis. These have now been finished. Five days are scheduled for the trial. So far, eight witnesses are invited.
Logothetis is currently not allowed to conduct any animal testing and guidance, as a spokeswoman announced on Wednesday. He has already declared in 2015, after the allegations become known, to stop attempts on monkeys.

My comment: Yes! A trial against renowned laboratory sadists happened for the first time in Germany, the activist Friedrich Mülln is right.
The public is finally informed, many interviews are running on well-known TV stations, and the press is getting along.
It is a bitter blow against this criminal laboratory industry.

Is your loving, intelligent cat a “pest” — to be exterminated and tossed like trash? The city of Auckland, NZ thinks so.
If their council’s devastating proposal passes, any cat — including beloved family pets — will be trapped and destroyed if unlucky enough to be caught without a functioning, registered microchip.
Too bad if your cherished feline happens to be one of 15,000 pets in New Zealand known to have a faulty, undetectable microchip. If that kitty wanders into an arbitrarily designated “ecologically significant” zone, they face the death sentence.
This ill-conceived plan comes from the Regional Council of Auckland, which is moving to reclassify Domestic Companion Stray cats as “pests” in a calculated plan to cull them mercilessly. The campaign justifies the slaughter by citing the misleading goal of conserving wildlife and New Zealand’s endangered bird species, using faulty science to promote its cause.
Let’s be clear: this amounts to nothing short of a genocide of the cat population.
Instead of villainizing cats and inciting hatred and violence (family cats are already gunned down by angry NZ citizens on a monthly basis), animal lovers and conservationists must encourage the humane treatment of cats and wildlife.
