“Germany’s drought-stricken farmers call for help. Especially at the Union they find support. No wonder: farmers choose traditional conservative !!
Federal Minister of Agriculture Julia Klöckner (Chistian Democratic Union, CDU) announced, of course, fast support “.
Now the peasants complain again!
They moan because they have to slaughter their animals earlier because of drought and lack of food.
They have chosen the job of slaughtering animals, but they only complain about the timing because early slaughter reduces their profits.
The life of the animals does not matter either, for the peasants animals are commodities, they breed them, they fatten them to slaughter them. And that brings money.

I have finally had the chance to catch up on some reading I have wanted to do for a long time.
I have looked at attitudes and methods behind modern society’s treatment of animals and (linked to) the way humans have often treated each other, most notably during the Holocaust. With regard animals, especially those who suffer in intensive / factory farms now days, all people are considered Nazis – for the animals it is an ‘Eternal Treblinka’.
To be honest, I found the reading hard to swallow /read in most cases – the emergence of human beings as the ‘master species’ and their domination over the rest of the inhabitants of the earth. The way in which man has dominated and caused suffering of his fellow human beings was just ‘sickly’. I am giving a few examples below.
You then have to ask as mans self opinionated view as the master species has allowed him to cause the untold suffering to many animals – especially those in the factory farm systems. Was this learnt from the Nazi system where they viewed themselves as the master race – having total control and domination over the Jews for example ?
Did the Nazi treatment of Jews establish the modern factory farm system ? – did the Nazis ‘control’ over the Jews in the extermination camps set a precedence that has now moved into mans domination and control of animals in intensive systems ? – was the keeping, control and extermination of the Jews by the Nazis a ‘system’ which has now moved species from human suffering during WW2 to that of animal suffering in this modern age ?
A few examples of mans inhumanity to other man is as follows:
‘The great chain of being’ – created by Aristotle’s teacher Plato; who formulated the belief of the Greeks that they ranked higher than non Greeks, women, slaves and of course, animals. Plato had a full range of human beings in ranked hierarchically, from the immortal gods at the top, down through humans, to animals, plants, and with stones and dust at the very bottom.
Medieval Christendom translated Plato’s image into a ladder which had Christian God at the top, and European Christians on the highest rung of the ladder, which included the animal species. This positioning granted them a divine mandate as God’s overseers and stewards to ‘rule’ over the rest of the ladder below.
By the time civilisations emerged from the river valleys of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China, the exploitation of captive animals for food, milk, hides and labour was firmly entrenched in the religions. The Judeo-Christian tradition sanctified the notion that the world had been created for the sake of the human species.
According to Genesis, God created the beats of the earth and the cattle according to their kinds; and everything that creeps upon the earth. God then made man in his image and gave him dominion over the fish of the sea; and over the birds of the air; over the cattle and all the earth. Philip Kapleau writes that some historians and environmentalists think that these fateful words of the Bible have determined the destructive course of Western civilisations for over 2,000 years. Ian McHarg writes that if you wanted to find one text which will explain all the destruction and all the despoliation accomplished by Western man for at least 2,000 years; then you do not have to look any further than this ghastly, calamitous text.

Jo-Anne McArthur (born December 23, 1976) is a Canadian photojournalist, humane educator, animal rights activist and author. She is known for her We Animals project, a photography project documenting human relationship with animals. Through the We Animals Humane Education program, McArthur offers presentations about human relationships with animals in educational and other environments, and through the We Animals Archive, she provides photographs and other media for those working to help animals.

Her work has been published in a variety of media, including the Canadian version of the lifestyle magazine Elle, the German news magazine Der Spiegel, and the American tourism magazine National Geographic Traveler. In addition, her photographs have been used by over 100 animal advocacy organizations and in academic work on human-animal relationships.
Jo-Anne McArthur tells the following anecdote in her book “We Animals”:
CHILD BULLFIGHTER, MADRID, SPAIN, 2009
Two activists and I contacted a school for bullfighting, located up a dusty road a few hours outside of Madrid, and asked if we could document the training. I said I was a foreign correspondent interested in Spanish culture. When we arrived, we parked outside the school’s gates and were warmly welcomed.
For two hours, we followed boys as young as four and in their late teens as they practiced all aspects of bullfighting — from circling each other and taking turns at being the bull, to learning how to employ the “banderillas” and perfecting the quick kill by inserting the sword between the shoulder blades directly into the animal’s heart.

A little boy, about six years old, was practicing with the “muleta”, the red cape, which the matador flourishes and passes in front of the bull in the final stage of a bullfight. Through a translator, I asked him why he wanted to become a matador.

“Because I love bulls,” he replied.

Like every year, the fast boats circled like precision weapons on innocent suckling animals, on whales, in the Danish islands of Faroe Islands. And begins a senseless massacre!
You hear and read often that the “Grind” belongs to culture and tradition, and that this massacre in the Faroe Islands is a very old affair.

While most of the islanders apply the stupid food-buying argument to this massacre, there are also some others, much more honest, who openly acknowledge that they took part in the grind because they found it exciting. They said that the Grind gives people the opportunity to interrupt their daily routine and meet friends and neighbors (according to reports from a She Shepard activist).

From press reports we learn too, that … “The event happens whenever a group of whale’s swims near the archipelago and is noticed by the islanders. From that moment on, it becomes something that puts the 50,000 Faroese peoples into the state of frenzy. Hunters, while using a traditional hook to cut the whales open, turn the bay waters into red”…

And even though this criminal act is being condemned by the whole world, the Föräer hunters (the passionate swimmers in blood) keep on this brutal slaughter, and sell it as a “cultural heritage” to the “handful” of tourists they meet.

I find it horrific, when people massacre hundreds of sentient beings to find a change from their dull everyday life.
Because, this “culture event” has no other meaning!!
My best regards to all, Venus

In the Norwegian island group Spitzenbergen a bear has been murdered.
From a guard who accompanied a ship cruise. He was allegedly attacked by the bear, who actually lived there, and as self-defense he shot the homeowner.

In the news, we read: The man was, according to the Hapag Lloyd Cruises with other guards – but gone without tourists – on land.
Earlier, a spokesman for Northern Norway’s emergency services said the attack had come when a group of tourists landed in a small boat on an island. Spitsbergen is a group of islands belonging to Norway. Only about 3000 bears live there.

This text is translated directly from the German web page: GTG Aachen:
Appropriately to the topic animal and habitat reached us today this sad picture, which does not have to be commented, because it speaks for itself:
They see a tiger who lives his life in the circus.

When? Today!!
Where? Aachen*, downtown, on a soulless, paved parking lot.
Why? This is a question that, with the best of intentions, has no reasonable answer, and which must dispel the compassionate nature of a circus visit.
A commentator woman, obviously from this city, wrote: “I have called everywhere, I have always been told that we are not responsible, or that everything is allowed. I should not get upset, then… you would have to get the cows from the meadow too”!!!
(*Aachen is, with 245,000 inhabitants, the westernmost German city. Aachen borders the Netherlands and Belgium).
There is an answer to this “why”. It is a reasonable explain why still existe such pictures.
Because German society is a perpetrator friendly society.
It’s an animal cruelty, there’s a culprit, and this guilty person must be punished for it-Basta!
Every inhabitant of this city who sees this cruelty to this animal, is morally obliged to report it. Not only a woman, not only three or five persons, but 5.000 People!
Without “if” and “but”, just “now and here” I alert the veterinary office and I tell of an animal cruelty, with a circus Tiger.
But this civil courage is missing.
Our cowardice call the most “tolerance”!
That’s why animal torturers and criminals are getting more and more powerful!

Following PETA Asia’s exposé of the abusive treatment of working animals at Petra, Jordan, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed to make major improvements to animal welfare at the UNESCO World Heritage site.
The MoU includes plans for the introduction of eco-friendly electric vehicles to carry tourists and the installation of modern veterinary clinics, where the animals would receive regular care. Other plans include new water stations to ensure that animals have access to fresh drinking water and a prohibition on forcing animals to walk dangerous paths or carry heavy loads.
At Petra, more than 1,300 horses, donkeys, mules, and camels are forced to carry tourists or pull carriages in the city every day, and they’re suffering terribly. Handlers routinely whip and beat them as they haul tourists on a gruelling 6-mile trek in the sweltering heat, and they’re given no water or shade. Donkeys are forced to carry tourists up and down the 900 treacherously steep and eroded steps to the city’s iconic monastery. If they resist or falter, the beatings intensify.

This MoU is a monumental step in the right direction and has the potential to transform the lives of the hundreds of working animals who have suffered incessantly for the sake of tourism. PETA is thrilled that change is coming to Petra, as it might mean an end to the beatings and other forms of abuse at the site.
Remember: Petra isn’t the only place where animals are exploited and subjected to violence – this is the daily reality for millions of living beings around the globe. To end cruelty to animals everywhere, we must continue to take action.

Taxi-Donkeys in Santorini-Greece

Transport-Donkeys in Santorini-Greece
Camels riding for tourists
It’s not just Jordan, I agree with PETA.
The Taxi-Animals suffer similarly in Greece, in Spain, in Berlin, in Vienna …
It has developed an industry tourism in the last 30 years.
Every idiot wants to experience “nature” and “exoticism”, and he does not care if he destroys the environment or if animals suffer.
That’s what a fun society is called.
it has to be banned to sale this spiteful form of fun: making selfies with Tieger slaves, riding camels to death, using carriages as taxi – cabs and dragging elephants in the heat as a transport means all day long.
Mass tourism is a form of neocolonialism.

The story of Cesar Millan is often seen as a typical rags to riches tale, one about a young man breaking away from a simple life on a Mexican farm and crossing the border in pursuit of the American dream.

In 1990, at age 21, he came illegally from Mexico to the United States. He first got involved in California as a dog hairdresser, vet assistant and dog groomer, so he got in touch with movie stars and eventually Cesar Millan was only the dog expert in Hollywood.
