Germany: mass murder on the march

In Brandenburg, Germany’s heart of the African pig plague, all wild boars are to be killed in the vicinity of the “core zone”, in which the first wild boars infected with African swine fever (ASF) were found.

Brandenburg intends to allow wild boar hunting with the night- sights in the near future. The relevant technology is ready for collection at the authority. But first, the “fence” has to be ready.

The authorities in Brandenburg are currently working intensively on plans to get the core zone free from wild boars. As confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture in Brandenburg, both night sights and special wild boar traps are used when shooting.
These are currently being transported and set up in the core zone.

The night sights are available from the forest authorities. The ministry emphasizes that hunting activities can only start once the security fence is in place.

A commission of EU Veterinarians has recommended designating a “white zone” within five kilometers of the already existing core zone.
In this “white zone”, which is bordered by solid “wild boar-proof” fences, all wild boars are to be killed.

The material for the outer fence around the white zone will be delivered on Thursday (October 1st, 2020). Construction should then start on Friday. It is currently unclear when the ring around the actual core zone can be closed.

Hunting on ALL wild boars

In the so-called “white zone”, maternal protection is also temporarily suspended (!!!)
That means that all wild boars are hunted. This also includes leading brooks. This is absolutely necessary for the epidemic protection measures, according to the Ministry.

For the control measures, the authorities want to ask not only state officials but also local hunters who are familiar with the core area for help.
It is said, but it has not yet been conclusively clarified that the police and the armed forces will also be requested.

The responsible state veterinarian makes the decision.

And I mean…A stupid minister and his constituents refuse to explain to us how the virus can get into hermetically sealed pigsties.
Certainly not by a herd of wild boars.

Max Planck and Einstein thought hunters were psychopaths.
When I read that the hunters will also shoot youngsters, this opinion is confirmed.
Killing parent animals on which freshlings depend is an act of sadism and has nothing to do with preventive hunting.

In wild boars, for example, only the alpha female (Leitbach) in a herd usually reproduces. This limits the uncontrolled reproduction by several females in the pack and ensures that no more wild boars live in the area than can be feed there.
But for the moment and because of the intensive hunting of the wild boar, young wild boars that were born in spring were pregnant again in autumn!!

Wild boars are very useful for the forest, they dig up the ground and bury acorns, beechnuts, and other seeds that are used for natural regeneration.
Wild boars are gardeners of the forest.

The whole action is terrorist Zooicide.
Or to put it another way: if the ministry names such a planned massacre as swine fever management – then genocide is also humanitarian aid!

USA: New Jersey Proposes To End Black Bear Trophy Hunting.

Breaking news: New Jersey proposes plan to end black bear trophy hunting

New Jersey’s governor wants no more black bear trophy hunts in the state on his watch.

The New Jersey Fish and Game Council today proposed an amendment to the state’s 2021 bear management plan that would effectively suspend the annual black bear trophy hunt after the conclusion of this year’s hunt, which is scheduled to start next week. New Jersey’s bear hunt is particularly barbaric. It allows trophy hunters to use such cruel methods as baiting the animals with piles of rotting sugary food and chasing bears off state lands, where bear hunting is not allowed, and onto private lands, just so they can be killed. It also allows baby bear cubs to be hunted.

We applaud Gov. Phil Murphy, who made a campaign promise to end black bear trophy hunts, for his commitment to not approve the state’s new bear management plan if it contains lethal bear hunting. If the amendment is approved, it would mean there would be no bear trophy hunting in New Jersey starting next year, and presumably for the next four years.

A Humane Society of the United States poll last year showed that a supermajority of residents oppose such hunts. An even stronger majority is opposed to bear baiting. But unfortunately, attempts in the state legislature to prohibit baiting bears or bear trophy hunting have not been brought up for full floor votes.

While the plan is yet to be finalized, this is a big step forward and it is great news for our wildlife staff and our New Jersey state director who worked long and hard for this outcome. Unfortunately, the proposed changes won’t stop the 2020 bear hunting season, which will begin Oct. 12. We strongly urge Gov. Murphy to take steps available to him and immediately call off this hunt as well.

The New Jersey Fish and Game Council will accept public comment on this proposed change until Dec. 4, and will hold a public hearing before it is finalized. The comment period will open soon, and if you’re a resident of New Jersey, we urge you to weigh in and let the council know that you support ending the trophy hunting of black bears in the state. Please watch this space for further updates.

Excellent News !

Sharks: the potential victims of the corona vaccination?

In order for all people in the world to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus, half a million sharks might have to die.

Squalene is found in vaccines that manufacturers are experimenting with. The substance that strengthens the body’s immune response and thus the effectiveness of vaccination is obtained from the oil of shark liver.

For billions of corona vaccinations, thousands of sharks would have to die!

Around 3,000 sharks have to be killed to produce around a ton of squalene.
In order to produce enough squalene to provide every person in the world with a vaccine dose, 250,000 sharks would have to die, calculates the animal protection organization “Shark Allies”.

If everyone needed two doses of vaccine to immunize against Covid-19, it would be half a million sharks.

Shark populations would not be able to cope with the mass production of vaccinations

Many shark species are already threatened, declared the animal rights activists in their petition on the Internet portal change.org.

Exploiting them for the mass production of vaccines could have catastrophic consequences for the predatory fish population.
“Harvesting something from a wild animal is never going to be sustainable, especially if it’s a top predator that doesn’t reproduce in huge numbers”, explained Stefanie Brendl, the chairwoman of the animal welfare organization.

“Shark Allies” started a petition calling for the organization to stop the use of animal squalene.

There are more non-animal alternatives: Squalene is not only found in shark livers, but also in certain plants.

Declaration by the organization on this matter:  “After yesterday’s post where we announced that shark-derived squalene is a common ingredient in vaccines (including current COVID-19 vaccine development), you are probably wondering why squalene even needs to be in them?

Switzerland says “no” to the hunting law – we say thank you!

Wolf protection in Switzerland is not being relaxed. The electorate rejected the revision of the hunting law with 51.9 percent.

A new hunting law should have come in Switzerland that puts the wolf and the ibex on the list of huntable animals and enables wolves to be shot, even if the wolf has not caused any damage (i.e. tearing livestock).

There was a referendum on September 27th. And the majority of 51.9% of the Swiss have rejected this hunting law. Great!

All in all, the arguments of Left-Green and the animal and environmental associations, which had launched the referendum against the bill, were more convincing in the voting campaign.
There was always talk of a “shooting law for the wolf”, of “a failed law that harasses wild animals”.

Above all, it was the newly permitted preventive killing of individual wolves as well as the intended legitimate regulation of packs of wolves that heated the minds of the opponents.

It is a contradiction to kill a protected animal without it having caused any damage, was the tenor. The revised hunting law makes it possible to shoot “in advance”!!

The opponents did not only see the wolf endangered in the new hunting law but also other protected animal species.

In the voting campaign, it was almost forgotten that the regulatory rules should apply not only to the wolf but also to the ibex.

Environmentalists warned that the beaver or the lynx could soon be on this hit list.

Reference was made to an article of the law that states that the Federal Council can declare other protected animal species to be regulated without the consent of parliament or a referendum.

Conclusion: “What the revision actually entails is less species protection.”

The old law is now the new !!!

With the “NO” to the revised Hunting Act, the 1986 law remains in force.
Even before the vote, the opponents announced that after the rejection, work on a new bill would soon begin in order to have a law that would actually do justice to species protection.

https://www.srf.ch/news/abstimmung-27-september-2020/jagdgesetz/umgang-mit-dem-wolf-das-stimmvolk-schiesst-das-jagdgesetz-ab

And I mean…Cantonal representatives from Valais have made it clear that wolves do not belong in Valais. We have seen how this is practiced there with the lynx. The canton tolerates poachers and even has poachers as rangers.
We had already reported about this: https://worldanimalsvoice.com/2020/09/19/swiss-poaching-gamekeepers-in-valais/

The pressure against these species is great, the lobbies are ready.
In addition, I feel that the farmers’ concern for the sheep is hypocritical. Thousands of sheep die every year from disease, lightning strikes, falling rocks, falls, etc. No owner sleeps badly because of this. It doesn’t matter at all, it’s already calculated.

Every sheep that is killed is remunerated by the federal government and the canton.

Then again and again sheep are forgotten and starve to death in the snow.
All of this from the allegedly so “concerned sheep owners”.
The sheep are only there to collect subsidies.

All facts speak against the law, the Swiss got it and fought against the wolf hysteria with their voice.

Thank you!

USA: CBD ‘Saving Life on Earth’ Webinar. More, and Register Here.

  Hi Mark,

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s misleadingly named Wildlife Services program kills more than a million wild animals every year, typically at the request of Big Ag. Scattering public lands with cruel traps and indiscriminate poisons, the program targets carnivores like coyotes, bears, beavers, otters and foxes. Even rare species like grizzlies and wolves are caught in the crosshairs.

We’ve been working for years to shine a light on the feds’ wildlife-killing and have succeeded in gaining protections for wildlife in several states.

Join me on Thursday, Oct. 1, for the Center’s next Saving Life on Earth webinar to learn more about this work, as well as our other efforts to protect carnivores.

The presentation will feature our Carnivore Conservation Director Collette Adkins and Andrea Zaccardi, a senior attorney in our Northern Rockies office.

In addition to talking about Wildlife Services, we’ll discuss the latest news on grizzly bears and wolves, including the expected loss of wolf protections nationally and the importance of state-level wolf work if that does occur.

The hour-long webinar starts at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET.

Register here and check your email for the link to join.

Good news! Badger Cull website hacked!

Read at the “animal liberation press office”

When we first read about the Carcase Management System (CMS) website back in February after a leak from the NFU, we knew the secrets it held would be priceless to the anti-cull movement.

All of the cage trappers, free shooters, and assorted badger cull helpers all log, all of their badger killing information onto a single website.

Locations searched for badger setts are logged, like kill, who did the killing, what time… etc, etc.

Thanks to some obvious clues in metadata it was only minutes before we discovered the URL: http://www.ggkkzz.info/Accounts

Since that discovery back in February we have been gaining regular access to the site, pushing deeper and further into huge piles of data including crime reports, shooters identities, locations of kills, and email addresses of those involved.

On Tuesday, the NFU IT people finally spotted us and have since made some minor adjustments to try and protect the site.

But unfortunately for them, it is too little, too late, we are in the system and will continue to edit and scrape data, we were also changing records (including crime reports) as they come in.

This year’s data on kills sent to Natural England will be based on our false reports, making the continuation of the cull completely pointless.

And I mean...Good to know who our neighbor is.
What does he do when he’s not in church or caring for his children in the playground.

And good to know that killing defenseless animals alone is not enough to satisfy one’s cravings for violence and death.
He wants to make it known, he is reward-controlled, the accomplices should know how many corpses he can deliver per day.
A pastime for psychopaths.

These people are among us.
They are military officials, veterinarians, gynecologists, dentists, or lead scout groups. A number of factors such as genes, family relationships, upbringing, intelligence, and opportunities shape these psychopaths.

Many thanks to the hackers ❤️!

Malta: the worst killing fields for birds of prey in Europe

Malta. The “Committee Against Bird Slaughter” (CABS) has released further video evidence of the indiscriminate killing of protected migratory birds in Has-Saptan valley (Birzebbugia).

The footage published on YouTube shows a European Honey Buzzard and a Blue Roller being shot down in the area on Wednesday and Thursday.

Blue Rollers are a type of international nature conservation problem that is experiencing rapid population decline in large parts of its European range and is extremely endangered.

Blue Roller

“Our teams deployed in the Birzebbugia area observe and report severe wildlife crimes on a daily basis yet the police needed more than an hour to arrive after our team reported the Roller being killed yesterday”, CABS spokesperson Karl Heinz Kreutzer said adding that this delay gives plenty of ample time for the poachers to hide their illegal prey and escape with impunity.

Apart from these two recent incidents, CABS teams have observed more than a dozen other protected birds being shot down in Has Saptan valley since last Sunday (20 Sept).

“As our eyes and video cameras can only monitor a very small part of this valley, we assume that hundreds more protected birds have been shot there in the last week alone”, CABS spokesperson Karl-Heinz Kreutzer said.

CABS which has labeled the valley as “the worst killing fields for birds of prey in Europe” urges the government to take immediate action by suspending the hunting season in this part of the island and establishing a permanent police presence to monitor the ban.

The NGO said that the primary motivation behind the shooting of protected birds is private collections and illegal taxidermy.

Honey Buzzard

“There is a huge black market for stuffed birds with some collectors paying thousands of Euros for rare specimens such as Blue Rollers, Storks or Flamingos. Since examinations and tagging of private trophy collections have dwindled during the past five years, poachers find it easier to shoot and launder illegally acquired specimens”, CABS Wildlife Crime Officer Fiona Burrows said.

She also stated that since responsibility for the administration of wild birds’ regulations was handed over to the Wild Birds Regulation Unit (WBRU) controls and tagging of private collections were stopped.

“The history of the WBRU is a history of massive failures and biased decisions which only serve the interests of the poachers at the cost the lives of thousands of rare protected birds. It is high time that the government hands over the responsibility for the protection of wild birds to a technically competent regulatory institution”, Burrows concluded.

Komitee gegen den Vogelmord e.V.

And I mean…At least 50 internationally protected birds died from hunting in Malta in 2019.

In Malta, people shoot pretty much anything that moves in the sky.

Hunting in Malta is pure bird hunting and a popular sport. Allowed in 34 species but exercised on an extremely larger list of birds.

In the case of Malta, the problem is exacerbated because the island is at the heart of the central European migration route. Millions of birds have to go over there – and their killers lurk.

With gigantic trapping facilities of over 5,000 square meters, birds are caught in many places on the island. Gigantic facilities, some of which are several hectares in size, can be found directly on coastal cliffs or on hills in the interior of the island.

An incident reported by “Birdlife” activist Geoffrey Saliba shows how natural hunting is in Malta: “A hunter shot down a marsh harrier – over a schoolyard. Nobody took much notice of it”, he says.

The hunters rarely shoot the birds for pots and pans, but mostly out of pure lust for murder – or to stuff them.
Even legally murdered birds like song thrushes are mostly left to die in the field.

The fact that bird hunting remains possible and legal in the middle of Europe is the surrender of civil society to a criminal elite.

Cyprus: brutal attack of hunters to activists

Cyprus: Attack on committee volunteers.

Yesterday morning two participants of the committee bird protection camp- not far from the city of Agia Napa / Cyprus– were attacked by armed poachers.
The two perpetrators had posted illegal liming rods on bushes around their hunting grounds and provided them with an electronic decoy.
When our members – a young man and a young woman – tried to sneak up to the trapping site to investigate the situation for a game warden, they surprised the hunters, who attacked without warning.

They pushed both bird conservationists to the ground, threatened to kill them, strangled the young man, and destroyed his cell phone. Before the game guards arrived, the perpetrators fled.

The brutal attack was preceded by a newspaper article launched by the Cypriot hunters, in which the committee against bird murder was vilified and xenophobic sentiment against us was stoked.

We filed a complaint against the attackers, the limes were collected. Both of our members got away with bruises and a real shock.
The picture comes from the archive – it shows the fishing method with liming rods, birds caught with them. Also in Cyprus!

https://www.facebook.com/Komitee.CABS/

According to my information…In the committee’s bird protection camp in Cyprus, committee activists are confronted with such “finds” every day.
If they find the animals early enough, they can usually free them safely. If the birds hang around for hours in the Mediterranean autumn sun, they have little chance of survival.

Bird hunting with liming rods and fishing nets have been banned in Cyprus since 1974.
But illegal bird trapping is big business, involving gangs that are also involved in drugs and prostitution.

“There are many indications that this is an organized crime”.
In fact, networks are now available almost for free on Internet portals. Liming rods also cost nothing.

Bird protection organizations have calculated that a hunter catches up to a hundred birds per net and night in the high season, which he can sell for four euros each. In total, the songbird trade is expected to bring in 15 million euros annually for the 3,000 Cypriot poachers.

“There’s a mafia behind it, and the police are playing along”.
Once the hunters have been reported, they can be left alone for money.

Since the mission in Cyprus began two weeks ago, the committee has already rendered 642 of the brutal limestones harmless and displaced 10 poachers.

They were able to clean the black cap in the photo with a lot of effort and patience and release it after a night in the hotel.

We bow to the activists of the “Committee Against Bird Murder”.

Austria: Prince hunter arrested!

The Welf Prince Ernst August von Hannover, 66, was arrested in Austria on Monday evening (September 7th).

This was confirmed by the Wels regional court.
Reason: There should be reports against the nobleman for coercion, threats, and property damage.
A spokesman had told the “Bild” newspaper after the incident that all points should be charged together.

Prince Ernst August would then have threatened up to three years in prison.
The Wels public prosecutor had ordered the arrest of the prince, which was then carried out on Monday (September 7th).

The scandal prince was kept in custody for two days.

Now he’s out, but he has to adhere to the judge’s requirements.
One of his employees has reported against the Guelph Prince.

Ernst August von Hannover is said to have threatened her and her husband with hounding a group of thugs and smashed a window with a traffic sign. The police moved out on Monday because of “suspicion of coercion”. …

Since the 66-year-old had already attacked a police officer in July, the officers carried body cameras to record the arrest.

The German nobleman caused a stir several times in the past few months. After the attack on the police, Ernst August von Hannover was briefly admitted to a psychiatric ward. Just a week later, it hit the headlines again.

Armed with a baseball bat, he allegedly drove to the police station and threatened officers there to kill them(!!!)

And I mean…“Hunting is a subsidiary form of human mental illness,” said Theodor Heuss!
And obviously, someone who massacres animals in the forest develops himself into one who loses empathy and compassion for his fellow human beings.

The screams of the fish-we hear them

Fish don’t audibly scream when they’re impaled on hooks or grimace when the hooks are ripped from their mouths, but their behavior offers evidence of their suffering—if we’re willing to look.

Biologist Victoria Braithwaite says that “there is as much evidence that fish feel pain and suffer as there is for birds and mammals.”

For example, when Braithwaite and her colleagues exposed fish to irritating chemicals, the animals behaved as any of us might: They lost their appetite, their gills beat faster, and they rubbed the affected areas against the side of the tank.

It is hard to imagine that swallowing a bait with a fish hook in it does not feel extremely painful.
The fish also shows a terrible fidget in the video in response.

Neurobiologists have long recognized that fish have nervous systems that comprehend and respond to pain.

Even though fish don’t have the same brain structures that humans do—fish do not have a neocortex, for example—Dr. Ian Duncan reminds us that we “have to look at behavior and physiology,” not just anatomy. “It’s possible for a brain to evolve in different ways,” he says.
