India: December 2022 News From Animal Aid Unlimited.

Dear Mark,

Because of you, so many animals get to shine bright. Thank you for your kindness, which has reached many hearts here in Animal Aid.

Your generosity over the past year has enabled us to help more animals than ever before, and to serve them better every day. Your help has meant more soft glossy fur, more twinkling eyes, more soft muzzles and more silly playfulness

Cherub wanted to heal fastin order to start kissing!

This little girl had been hit by a vehicle and had blood coming from her nose. A kind passer-by saw her injury and called us to the rescue. She cried out as we gently lifted her into our carry-basket, but she was too hurt and confused to struggle. As we examined her mouth, nose, and badly sprained leg, she kept perfectly still and her eyes were worried with doubt.

But what a resilient brave-heart she proved to be! After pain medicine, supportive bandages and plenty of cuddles, her tail gave a tiny wag, and we knew we had a life-loving spirit on our hands. Meet Cherub now!

A simple procedure brought huge relief for Saaya.

This frightened young lady was in tremendous pain from an abscess around her neck causing so much swelling she could barely turn her head. An abscess is a build up of pus formed under the skin, usually from a bacterial infection. In her case, we suspect she’d suffered a puncture wound, and the abscess formed to fight the infection from the puncture. Left untreated, an abscess can cause sepsis and even lead to death, so it was vital that she receive treatment right away.

We treated her with antibiotics, painkillers, and gave her sedation to painlessly drain the abscess. As soon as Saaya woke up from the sedation she was already feeling so much better, and within just a day she looked like another dog, and a gorgeous one!

Sponsor a sweetheart!

We often hear from people who have sponsored an animal that they feel their sponsored sweetheart is connected to them, no matter the distance.   Animals in permanent sanctuary at Animal Aid often came to us with a heartbreaking past, whether because of abandonment, or injuries so severe that they needed life-long care and protection. Sponsoring one of our many sanctuary darlings means giving the gift of not only rescue and medical care, but a life-time of love.    Take a look at these beauties–each with unique needs, a painful past and a beautiful life in Animal Aid’s permanent sanctuary, with you helping watch over him or her.

England: (London) – A Message From Animal Equality. For ALL WAV Supporters.

Hi Mark,

I know you probably don’t get to hear this a lot when you open your emails so I want to say it now, loud and clear:

Thank you.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you give to Animal Equality and the support you give to animals who suffer on factory farms and inside slaughterhouses around the world.

When you sign petitions, post about farmed animals on social media, attend protests, and make donations to Animal Equality…it all makes a difference.

It’s so inspiring for me to see more and more people like you supporting us and believing in our collective mission to end animal cruelty.

I’ve been fighting for animals for over 20 years now and it will never be easy to see an innocent animal suffering.

And yet, I can honestly say that I feel privileged to be writing this email to you. I have always felt privileged to work for animals. It’s my life’s mission and I will do it for the rest of my life.

But I have been through many difficulties.

When I founded Animal Equality with Javier Moreno and Jose Valle we started the organisation with no resources. We didn’t have the money to do much for animals and that was very hard.

On one occasion we ran out of money during an important investigation inside pig farms in Spain. We literally had to ask our friends to support us with donations to be able to finalise the investigation.

So they did.

And that became the first ever and largest investigation inside pig farms to be presented in Spain. It opened the news cycle that day.

We wanted to show people in the city where we lived what happens inside factory farms so we stood outside for hours showing the images. We couldn’t afford laptops so we chose to make banners instead.

And to save money, we made the banners out of cardboard we found outside clothing stores.

Those times were difficult because there wasn’t more we could do.

Now Mark, I’ll be honest with you, those were challenging times because every night I went to sleep thinking if only we had enough resources to be able to do more for animals.

I imagined what it could be like if we could have better cameras for our investigations or be able to hire a team to support Animal Equality’s missions or if we could meet journalists in an office instead of inside coffee shops.

We learned very quickly that without the time and resources we needed, we couldn’t help animals the way we wanted to.

Today, Animal Equality is a global force with more resources and a team of 100 people, but I still ask myself what more can be done. What else could we achieve?

That’s why people like you are so important. Because we can’t help animals by ourselves. In fact, we’re not even the main component.

The main component in helping animals is you.

Tomorrow I want to share with you a story that’s very important to me. It’s the story of an animal who is very close to my heart. I hope you’ll read it.

Sincerely,

Sharon Núñez

Dear animal lover,

Foie gras will be more expensive this year following an epidemic of bird flu in the duck population.  As if these poor animals did not already suffer enough from the cruel treatment of force-feeding!

It is now available in 2 certified organic versions :

  • Faux Gras and its delicate taste (1)
  • Faux Gras with cranberries with leaked flavors (2)

Enough to start your holiday meals in an original way and with a clear conscience and this, at the modest prices of 3.69 € (1) and 3.89 € (2) the box of 125g. You can order them for home delivery via the button below.

You will also find our Faux gras at Delhaize, Colruyt, Aldi, Lidl, Carrefour, Match and Cora.

England: Reed Bunting and Robin Photos From Pauline – 17/12/22. A VERY Cold Week For These Little Survivors.

Animal buddy Pauline sent me these beautiful phots that she has taken this morning.

Check out all of Pauline’s past photos by visiting https://worldanimalsvoice.com/?s=pauline+photos

The UK has been blasted (well blasted !) for well over a week now by Arctic winters coming down from the high North; a real shock for many after very high Spummer temperatures. In the UK we are used to cold and snow, but this last week has been a real blast.

Finally today (17/12) we are starting to see slow changes for the better as the weather is starting to arrive instead from the Atlantic; tomorrow should see it a bit warmer and the snow starting to clear more.

It always amazes me how these tiny little birds can survive endless night temperatures of -11 or more, as it has been.

My breakfast buddy Robin https://worldanimalsvoice.com/?s=breakfast+buddy and hundreds of other birds here in the garden have been keeping me real busy (and I mean real busy) over the last week getting food out to them all to help them survive these very cold days and nights. Buddy Robin is fine and is first in the queue each morning for something to eat. Pauline’s Robin pictures show that we have had a lot of snow, but with regular feeding I hope that I have helped them get through a very hard period. It makes me feel better.

Regards Mark and Pauline.

Show Me Your Humane Slaughter Footage.

Many thanks Stacey.

Show me your “humane slaughter” footage … | Our Compass (our-compass.org)

Pro-slaughter advocates always get morally outraged when vegans show factual slaughter images/videos/audios but never provide THEIR footage, while simultaneously boasting about redtractorrspcaassuredhumanefarmingassociationcertifiedhumanehighestofhighestwelfare … who all are “opposed” to “animal abuse” while literally promoting killing animals.

In what dimension is violently killing NOT abusive? The deli? Your kitchen?

If you need an organization to substantiate that violent killing is “humane”, then it’s not humane, it’s a label on a literally dead being who did not volunteer to die.  My plant-based food requires zero disingenuous “viciously-but-humanely-killed” stickers.

I gotta say, though, even I am sometimes shocked at the level of blind conformity people desperately embrace to validate violence against animals, such as the UK’s  Humane Slaughter Associations selection of “gifts” and “christmas cards” depicting alive animals. Really? I mean, jfc, this is deranged and nothing short of vomitous, pure bile-inspiring, oxymoronic, hypocritical garbage.

For sure, what in the AF are “Bags for Life”? … Bags for Life. … BAGS FOR LIFE. These “gift selections” from a pro-slaughter entity that proudly supports violently killing animals, including calves and piglets, literally have pictures of alive animals on them, such as a calf and a piglet. B A G S F O R L I F E

Perhaps it’s because a bag has a longer lifespan than the life of an animal. Much, much, much longer, and the bag is worth even more, it’s literally considered a “gift” whereas an animal’s life is considered “violently-humanely-disposable”.

Since the only reason the Humane Slaughter Association exists in the first place is to promote DEATH, rather than an image capturing the (exploitative, violent, brief) “life” of an animal on your BAGS FOR LIFE, why don’t you demonstrate the “humane” actions you all so desperately and belligerently boast about, instead favouring the EXACT OPPOSITE?

Was it a misprint for BEGS FOR LIFE?

Because, come on, if humans are so proud of inventing methods of violence that require the suffering and unwilling deaths of animals, and then have the absolute audacity to call it “humane”, why not be proud enough to share images of THAT?  Why not depict the actual reality of the suffering animals are forced to endure, animals who die in bloody, terrifying, painful, unethical, and horrific manners?

Too graphic? Too real? Too hellish?

But not too graphic, too real, or too hellish to actually NOT cause, NOT support, NOT pay for?

Typical human discord, typical human privilege, typical human passivity.

Here’s a question: what form of slaughter is more humane than NOT slaughtering animals?

Humans don’t kill animals because they honestly believe that NOT killing animals is INhumane or UNethical.

As I always say, it’s disturbing and actually dehumanizing that humans rely on defining others’ suffering in terms that brings humans comfort causing it instead of the ones forced to suffer. Humans spend literally gobs of time, energy, and resources to attempt to validate violently killing animals with their clubsorganizationschaptersbooksvideosmanualsregulationslawsmethodslabelsdefinitionspicturesblahblahblahblah. And really, why do you praise clubsorganizationschaptersbooksvideosmanualsregulationslawsmethodslabelsdefinitionspicturesblahblahblahblah that REQUIRE violent suffering???

Truth’s a bitch, isn’t it.

And since it’s that time of the year again, I have to ask: why do people buy fake Christmas trees because killing a live tree is psychopathic but killing animals is … NOT … !? SL
