Here is the latest news below; and as you can see at the end, AAU are recruiting staff at the moment – think about applying if you are an Indian resident; working with all the animals must be so rewarding !

animal aid unlimited india

Rescuing and healing injured animals and inspiring people with happy endings is the thrust of Animal Aid Unlimited’s ongoing mission to help animals and contribute to the worldwide compassion revolution for animals.

Cruelty cases are painful to share, but Animal Aid is deeply committed to stopping cruelty in Udaipur by reporting it to the police and involving the media when possible. We are deeply proud that last week Deendayal Gora–one of our most cherished team leaders–received an award from the most senior members of the Udaipur police on Rajasthan Police Day, recognizing his vigilance in reporting animal cruelty cases for Animal Aid.

10 amazing rescues your heart will never forget

One more day and most of the animals you’re about to meet in this rescue compilation video would have been dead. Thanks to your support, Animal Aid’s rescue team was there to climb, wade, jump, run and hoist to make sure THIS would NOT be the animal’s last day. You’ll want to hold your hand over your heart as you watch these animals in the most ghastly problems get the help that saves their lives just in the nick of time.

Please donate, because for some animals, Tomorrow is only possible with help

1st All Women First Aid Training Team

In this month’s First Aid Training batch, we welcomed our first ALL WOMEN TRAINEES TEAM, hailing from West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. Each have substantial experience with animals, and they’re so enthusiastic and bright as they head into day 5 of their intensive week-long training.

They’ll return to their communities ready to build teams of rescuers, follow safe, effective treatment protocols, and with new skills enhancing their handling, assessments, record keeping and wound dressings. They will be able to give rabies inoculations, treat animals for pain, identify when a vet is needed, and care for animals when there is no vet available.

Please go to our website to apply for training if you are a resident of India and already rescuing or helping street animals.

Puppy trapped and drowning deep in sewage line rescued

This puppy’s mother frantically paced back and forth at the mouth of a covered sewer line but she couldn’t find a way in. When our rescue team arrived we could faintly hear a puppy’s fading whimper. We too had trouble finding an entryway. Finally we found a rock slab we could hoist up but the puppy was still deep in the tunnel. We had no choice but to send one of the team knee deep into the sewage water, bent over and wading through it to rescue this little one on the verge of giving up. When our rescuer emerged, the baby was collapsed. We brought him back to the Animal Aid hospital so that we could thoroughly examine him. He was exhausted from fear and anguish. But as soon as he rested and ate, Barney bloomed before our eyes. Watch this furry family’s reunion at the end of Barney’s very busy day. He won’t have trouble sleeping tonight!

For little ones who get into all kinds of trouble, please donate.

Celebrate the Care-givers: Udi Bai

Udi Bai Gameti is a tiny person with super-human strength and an ability to read the minds of animals. Udi Bai knows if a dog will eat from her hand but not from a bowl. She can lift dogs twice her size with the ease of a footballer and the gentle handling of a mother (which she has perfected through her son and daughter and the thousands of animals she has helped here.) She spreads her love among dogs suffering from traumatic wounds, mange and every illness in between. Energetic but soft-spoken, Udi Bai expresses what we consider serious love for the animals.

Improved Isolation Ward coming soon!

Many of the dogs we rescue are not only injured, but often sick and need to be isolated from dogs who are simply wounded. Dogs carrying infectious diseases will soon get a boost to their moods–and therefore, a boost even to their ability to heal. We’re building a new Isolation Ward for dogs and puppies, with improved ventilation, more space, and where staff will be able to treat runny-nosed patients in a more organised environment.

The new Isolation Ward is scheduled to open 1st August at a cost of around USD $15,000.

Please donate to support this vital improvement.

New hoist is an enormous help for large animals

If a cow or bull is unable to stand, they have only a few days of life left. Their stomachs fill with gas and they usually die from bloat or other complications. But when we get them in a standing position with a canvas belt for support, there is a chance they can gradually regain the ability to stand, and we can turn the saddest story into recovery. We are immensely grateful for the gift of this hoist from Kiranmal Savensukha Charitable Trust–which is a huge help to the caregivers, who have previously had to lift the cows using the strength of their own backs!

We’re Hiring!

Add your voice to help save their lives!

Lady Freethinker is already sponsoring 2 bus ads in the city urging residents not to eat dog. And soon, the petition urging the mayor to ban these horrific dog meat farms will be delivered in person by Nami Kim of partner organization Save Korean Dogs.

Woman Accused of Kicking and Stomping on Dog Must be Punished

Target: Craig Stedman, District Attorney for Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Goal: Punish the mother who allegedly instructed her child to abuse a dog.

A dog was injured after he was allegedly stomped on and kicked. Disturbing video footage apparently showed the suspect kicking the dog and then instructing her child to follow her example. Demand justice for this innocent animal.

Yulin Dog Meat Festival Is Weeks Away.

In less than two weeks, the Yulin Dog Meat Festival will begin, and 1,000 dogs will be boiled or skinned alive before being butchered to feed festival goers. In July and August, thousands more will be killed so that vendors at the Boknal Festival can serve the popular Peppery Dog Meat Soup. And in late August, teenage boys will be forced to gorge on dog meat for seven days as part of a coming-of-age ceremony.

We must stop the summertime slaughter of innocent dogs. Sign this petition to join the movement to put an end to all dog meat festivals once and for all.

But the horror doesn’t end with festivals. Dogs are abused and killed for food every day all year round. The dog meat markets of Indonesia, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Vietnam are thriving. Some are even considered tourist destinations. And in certain areas of Switzerland, farmers are still known to kill dogs for personal consumption or to give as a delicacy to friends.

That is why Care2 is launching a campaign to stop dog meat consumption worldwide. By adding your name to this petition, you are signing on to help stop dog meat festivals and markets across the globe. Over the next several weeks, you will get the opportunity to sign petitions and take other actions to end the inhumane slaughter of millions of dogs each year — starting with the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.

Are you ready to send a strong message to world leaders that you won’t rest until all dogs are safe from butchers? Then join us in making 2019 the year that dog meat festivals and markets are stopped once and for all.

Why do we hide our heads in the sand when we get confronted with a challenging reality?

Ed explores what truths we hide from ourselves by drawing on his experience as a documentary maker and activist. Ed Winters or “Earthling Ed” devotes his life to be a voice for the voiceless as an animal rights activist.

He went from a meat-eater to vegan, and as a social media phenomenon, regular visitor on major new channels such as BBC, he advocates for animals using discussion and debate.

USA: American hunter in viral photo of slain giraffe is “proud to hunt”.

American hunter in viral photo of slain giraffe is “proud to hunt”

Images of hunters celebrating their trophies often draw widespread support and widespread condemnation – something Tess Talley knows first hand. In 2017, she killed a giraffe in South Africa. In 2018, her photo of the kill went viral and prompted worldwide outrage.

Talley joined “CBS This Morning” Friday to say that she’s “absolutely” still going hunting.

“It’s a hobby, it’s something that I love to do,” she said. Talley said that the controversial kill was part of a conservation hunt, designed to manage the amount of wildlife in a given area.

“I am proud to hunt,” she said. “And I am proud of that giraffe.”

In an interview with CBS News’ Adam Yamaguchi, Talley said that she’s made decorative pillows and a gun case out of the slain giraffe, which she described as “delicious.”

“You say it’s about conservation, but the smile […] it seems like there’s a lot of pleasure in it, too, a lot of joy,” said “CBS This Morning” co-host Tony Dokoupil.

USA: British Man with Muscular Dystrophy requested to see University dogs who have been bred to suffer from canine MD and are imprisoned in a laboratory there. He was Banned from the the Uni for 2 Years for peaceful his actions.

Johnathon Byrne—a British business owner who has muscular dystrophy (MD)—has filed a lawsuit against Texas A&M University for allegedly violating his civil rights.

During a visit to Texas A&M, Byrne—who must use a wheelchair at all times—peacefully requested to see the dogs who have been bred to suffer from canine MD and are imprisoned in a laboratory there.

Following that request, university police detained him, booted him from campus, and banned him from returning for two years.

Johnathon Byrne

The lawsuit alleges that the school flagrantly violated Byrne’s constitutional rights that guarantee free speech and protection against false arrest.

Help the dogs whose suffering in Texas A&M’s cruel and useless MD experiments Byrne cares so deeply about:

At Texas A&M University (TAMU), experimenters led by Joe Kornegay breed golden retrievers to develop canine muscular dystrophy (MD). This disease ravages their bodies, causing progressive muscle wasting and weakness. Studies using these animals haven’t led to a cure or even a treatment to reverse disease symptoms.

Video footage shows that the appallingly thin dogs in Kornegay’s laboratory were caged, sometimes alone, in barren metal cells and struggled to swallow thin gruel—the only food that they could eat, given how easily they could choke. Long ropes of saliva hung from the mouths of those whose jaw muscles had weakened. Even balancing was difficult. Dogs with this condition are also at great risk for contracting pneumonia because they can easily inhale liquid into their lungs.

Dogs who didn’t have the disease but carried the MD gene were used for breeding. Deprived of loving homes, they frantically paced across the slatted floors and bit the bars of the small cages in frustration. They didn’t even have the comfort of a blanket.

To gauge just how much a dog’s muscles have deteriorated, Kornegay has invented a crude technique that could pass for medieval torture: He repeatedly stretches them with a motorized lever in order to cause muscle tears.

Kornegay has been at this for more than 35 years. Puppies in his laboratory who are born with MD are so weak at birth that they require extra nutrition. By 6 weeks of age, their hind limbs have shifted forward, making walking difficult, and some are unable to open their mouths or jaws.

Take Action – help the suffering dogs:

Director Richard Linklater, actor Lily Tomlin, political commentator Bill Maher, NFL player Ryan Tannehill, and, most recently, musician Nikki Sixx have all spoken out against TAMU’s MD experiments on dogs. Please join them by urging the university to close its dog laboratory, stop breeding dogs to have MD, release all dogs for adoption into good homes, and redirect its resources toward humane research methods.

Spain: murder spectacle for primitives

How primitive and anti-social can people be in the middle of Europe?

Watch the video at the FB page of Pacma:

Toledo: This is not a bullfight in the conventional sense of bullfighting murder we know.
It is a premeditated murder of a small calf between 1 and 2 years old who has not yet been weaned by his mother.

Therefore, the calf can not yet coordinate his legs well and also has no big horns to defend himself.
The murderers themselves prepare the murder weapons, the banderillas.

If he can not anymore, the animal is stuck in the corner, several “helpers” grab him and nail him until the baby is paralyzed and bleeding.

With less than two years the animal suffers a slow and agonizing death.

PACMA is the only party that advocates such a ban on Festego but also massacres all fiestas

Source: #StopBecerradas

And I mean…If one himself inspire and enjoy how innocent and utterly defenseless animals suffer and are tortured to death, this one is no more than a miserable monster and has in no way deserved to have something like own human rights. Every year Spain holds its hand and begs like a small child to other European countries, so that this “culture” of the brainless can continue to exist.

If torture, mistreatment and exploitation of innocent defenseless beings is “culture” for Spain, then the country is at the back end of education in Europe, because traditions from the Middle Ages are perceived with enthusiasm that only scare and disgust every educated person.

Except for a few mentally-deprived Germans and a few brain-sick Europeans, this form of “culture” really does not even appeal to the stupidest of the stupid.
We can be sure there are far more civilized animal lovers and animal rights activists (= antitaurinos) than people like this disgusting bunch of proletarians, who put an end to this primitive blood fiesta. Time is ticking for the animals and I know it will end.
